Remembrance Sunday Service and Lunch

12 November @ 10:15 am

Each year Kitchener Scholars gather by the statue of the first Lord Kitchener in Horse Guards Parade to mark the Two-Minute silence together and to give thanks in a short service. If you haven’t been before, it’s an incredible location: very close to the field gun fired to mark 11am. We are then in a prime position to watch the veteran march pass and the salute taken by a member of the Royal Family. After that, our President, Lady Emma Kitchener, very generously hosts us at a delicious curry lunch on Lower Sloane Street in Chelsea.

Book your free place at Horse Guards Parade and the lunch by emailing secretary@kitchenerscholars.org to confirm your attendance. You will be sent a letter which will allow you access to Horseguards. We need to be in position on Horse Guards Parade by 10.30am, so please allow enough time to get through the police cordon.

Guests are very welcome at both the service and the lunch, but we have to limit the number of guests per scholar at the lunch to one each. Please feel free to bring more than one guest to the service, however.
